In 2003, the Friends of Fish began co-sponsoring the Lower Great Lakes Fishery Resources Office Fish and Wildlife Festival.

The event attracts thousands of community members and fishing enthusiasts, featuring live animal demonstrations, interactive educational games and displays.

The Friends of Fish participate in a number of outreach events to help raise funds and environmental awareness.
